Our latest vineyard-selected batch is the 2021 vintage of Klastrom Rhine Riesling from the Csobánc vineyards. In 2021, the mild spring temperature at the beginning of the year and the balanced amount of precipitation created ideal conditions for the proper ripening of the grapes. The summer heat resulted in the development of a concentrated, intense flavor profile. The characteristics of Badacsony's mountainous terroir, such as volcanic soil and cool nights, further enhanced the wine's elegance and complexity. Aromas combine fresh citrus, pear and floral notes, while the taste experience is completed by vibrant acids and characteristic minerality.

With barrel fermentation and 8-month aging, the varietal characteristics and petroliness appear in the flavors. It has great potential!

Rhine Riesling

The earliest-noted grape variety in the world; it was already known by the Romans. A global variable which is not completely new to Badacsony either. It is by far not related to Welschriesling, and you may often come across its short name Riesling as well. This variety gives its best when grown in a place with an excellent exposition. Suitable for the production of complex and exciting wines, which may have a long bottle age. It provides a magnificent outlook to the world since this wine greatly allows for the comparison of the wine region with other growing areas.
